Description

Help Enzo the Chinchilla use her Time Machine Ball to roll her way back home.

Enzo can travel forward and backward in time to flip switches and unlock gates to reach the end of each puzzle. Just don't run into anything or your time machine might explode.

This game started during GMTK Game Jam 2021 - Exploring how we are connected to ourselves thru time ... especially if we are a time travelling chinchilla.

Note: Still in early development. Map editor has had a complete redesign since the game jam version. Sorry web doesn't work on mobile yet. Will fix that soon. Best played on desktop web or windows. Enjoy!

Note: Turn on / off Edit Mode pressing the E button

Navigation

• Mouse scroll wheel to zoom in/out
• Mouse middle (scroll) button to pan
• Press H to reset view and zoom 

Game Commands

• Press Spacebar to pause / unpause time (adds Enzo if not on board)
• Press A to add another Enzo (this is only for testing)
• Press R to remember a moment in time
• Press T to  travel back in time to the last remembered point
• Press +/- to speed up or slow down time
• Press 0 to return to time speed to normal
• Press F to make camera follow Enzo
• Press Q to quit the game (removes Enzo and all copies)
  

Note: Most game commands work during editing also

Maze Editor Mode

• Left Mouse adds maze cells
• Right Mouse removes maze cells
• Control + Left Mouse drag to select cells
• Escape cancel current selection

Note: Cells are automatically connected to all surrounding cells. These connection points (nodes) can be removed with Shift + Mouse Button

• Shift+Right Mouse removes a connection between two cells
• Shift+Left Mouse adds a connection back (if it was removed)

Clipboard Commands

• Control + C to copy selected cells (or everything) to clipboard
• Control + X to cut the selected cells (or everything) to clipboard
• Control + V pastes cells on clipboard and begins dropping into the maze
  • Spacebar to rotate the  cells
  • Left Mouse  to add the cells to the maze
  • Escape or Right Mouse to cancel the operation

Note: Clipboard commands won't work in frames on web. Use the windows version or open web version directly here: https://fae.pub

Undo / Redo Commands

• Control+Z reverses the last operation (undo)
• Control+Y reverses the last undo (redo)

Note:  Maze clips copied to clipboard are text and can be easily saved into a text editor or shared in the comments below. Post your favorite creations and they might end up as a game level !
